Original Railway Cottage built in the 1860s on the Lintz Green Station route. The cottage is a step back in time with the original platform at the bottom of the garden. Lintz Green Station is delved in history on the Derwent Walk line.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, a double in the master bedroom and a single in the second bedroom, original staircases leads of in two directions. The cottage heating system is automated and controlled by propane gas canisters, step back in time it really is a great place to really retune into nature.
So many wildlife visit the cottage rare birds along with squirrels visit our garden on a daily basis.
In the master bedroom there is a TV with built-in DVD player, in the living room there is a log burner and a TV with DVD player. WiFi is available in the cottage.
We do offer short breaks please do enquire through email. We offer his and her bike hire for an additional cost. We are situated on the red kite trail.
The kitchen is a retro vintage 1950s freestanding kitchen with an electric cooker microwave, DAB vintage radio, toaster and fridge freezer.
A woodfired hot tub for two people is available for an additional charge. Guests are required to book this in advance to ensure it is ready for 3:30PM check in. The hot tub is usually only available for guests arriving for check in on a Friday or Saturday for a short stay.
There is a cottage information file kept there to guide and help guests with places to eat and visit. It also explains how to use the appliances in the cottage. We are pretty hands-on with our guests and if they have any questions we do like them to get in touch. We only like to help and want them to enjoy their stay.
We email guests 2 days prior to their stay with directions, key codes and any other relevant information.
The cottage is close to Beamish Museum and Gibside National Trust.
One small dog is permitted in this cottage.
