The cottage is dog friendly and is the perfect base for both humans and dogs to explore the North York Moors and surrounding areas.

Right on the steam heritage line!
The garden is right next to the heritage NYMR line. This is private with the exception of travellers and holiday makers making the most of the steam trains running the picturesque countryside from Pickering to Whitby.
There are two seating areas, one for four people and one to seat two with a BBQ for those warm summer nights. There are many walking and cycling trails right from the doorstep heading into the heart of the North York Moors National Park and easy road access to coastal towns and villages.
The North York Moors is a superb destination for dogs and their owners to go on holiday. We should know, as owners of Poppy the black Labrador and Maisie the Cocker Spaniel. There are numerous walks from the door of the cottage any many more just a short drive away. A bonus is that most of the pubs, café’s and even the heritage trains allow dogs too! We are extremely dog friendly and allow up to two well behaved furry friends to enjoy their holiday in this amazing location. Doggy welcome packs are provided along with bowls and blankets. There is a charge for each dog of £10 per night.
