Welcome to the Bluebell, a recently restored 1920’s vintage teak clad Norwegian broad gauge railway carriage – unique, beautifully appointed self catering holiday accommodation.
The Bluebell rests peacefully in the Devon countryside alongside the station platform, with views across a wildflower meadow to our woods.
The Bluebell cossets you in comfort with a comfortable sitting room, a kitchen/diner, two bedrooms each with their own en suite shower rooms and a private sitting area on the platform – with a fire bowl and grill should you wish to enjoy alfresco dining by a log fire (logs available with kindling and firelighters).
One bedroom has a double bed in it, the other two singles, there is wi fi throughout and a pc for streaming and whatever else you might want to use a pc for – Netflix is included.
Although the Bluebell is fully equipped for self catering, if cooking isn’t top of your list of things to do whilst on holiday, we also have a small cafe on site providing fab breakfasts, and local pubs and restaurants providing excellent lunch and dining experiences.
All rates include up to four people, we have a private car park, and our local is a 20 minute walk through stunning countryside.
